Darren Freake was raised in Lewisporte by self-employed parents, and he was taught at an early age the value of honesty, hard work and customer service. At the age of 18, Darren left Lewisporte to attend business school in St John's, where he started a part-time job in the marine industry. This position grew to a full-time management job. During this work, he was able to purchase three rental properties, which gave him the beginning knowledge to start his own business in real estate management. Krown was formed thirteen years ago by Darren with 13 units and one other employee and has grown to over 1200 units, including over 20 non for profit and condo corporations and a staff of 20 office employees and contractors. The Krown group now consists of four divisions: renovations and new home construction, commercial snow clearing, lawn care and real estate management. Other areas of the Krown group include bin rentals, appliance repair, and Line-X/Paul Murphy Services. If you are considering purchasing a rental property and have some questions, please feel free to call Darren! He would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
