Darren Freake

Darren Freake

President/Owner
Darren Freake was raised in Lewisporte by self-employed parents, and he was taught at an early age the value of honesty, hard work and customer service. At the age of 18, Darren left Lewisporte to attend business school in St John's, where he started a part-time job in the marine industry. This position grew to a full-time management job. During this work, he was able to purchase three rental properties, which gave him the beginning knowledge to start his own business in real estate management. Krown was formed thirteen years ago by Darren with 13 units and one other employee and has grown to over 1200 units, including over 20 non for profit and condo corporations and a staff of 20 office employees and contractors. The Krown group now consists of four divisions: renovations and new home construction, commercial snow clearing, lawn care and real estate management. Other areas of the Krown group include bin rentals, appliance repair, and Line-X/Paul Murphy Services. Lindsey Kelly

General Manager
Lindsey moved to Newfoundland from Ontario in 2004 to complete her Bachelor of Arts at Memorial University. Although music was her primary field of study, she has undertaken a variety of office management roles since graduation in 2006. Through experience and further course work, she has expanded her knowledge of business and accounting practices. Since being hired by Krown Property Management in 2011 for part-time data entry, she has been involved in almost every aspect of the business. In 2012 she was key in implementing new software to better serve both our clients and tenants through more accurate rental records and clearer financial reporting to property owners. Her ability to quickly learn the business, dedication and commitment to the company's success, and her overall outstanding mentoring have accelerated her into the position of General Manager, where she is responsible for all accounting functions of the office as well as ensuring smooth operation of the business. She has recently added to her role once again by taking on the financial operations of Krown and other associated companies.

Michelle Tremblett

Office Manager
Born and raised in Cape Breton, NS, Michelle moved to NL to attend Memorial University and has been living here for the past thirteen years. She has received her Bachelor of Education Primary Elementary degree in 2011. Since starting with Krown, Michelle has been involved in many different aspects of the company. In 2013 she took on the role as Leasing Agent and her ability to quickly learn the various aspects of the company has now placed her in the position of Office Manager where she is responsible for accounts payable/receivable, various bookkeeping tasks and a wide range of administrative duties that ensure client's accounts are always up-to-date and accurate. Michelle's eagerness to ensure things run smoothly and in a timely manner, helps Krown maintain an excellent reputation with their clientele.

Krista Keeping

Krista was born and raised in Lord's Cove, NL. on the Burin Peninsula. After graduating high school, she completed her diploma at Academy Canada in Office Administration. She began working in her chosen field in 2003 and has gained invaluable experience and exemplary customer service skills over the past 11 years. Krista joined Krown Property Management's team of professional staff in Nov 2013 as Leasing Agent. Her outgoing personality and dedication to our clients and tenants has made her a great asset to the Krown Property team. Krista is currently on maternity leave until October, and we look forward to her rejoining the team!

Holly started with Krown Property Management in January 2017, and her primary focus has been on our commercial accounts with Condominium Corporations. Holly graduated from College of the North Atlantic with a diploma in Business Management Accounting in 2006. In addition to her education, Holly has over ten years of experience working in the field. Bookkeeping and financial reporting come second nature to Holly, and her promptness in dealing with any concerns is why all of our clients are thrilled to work with her. Her reliability and accessibility go hand in hand. Holly's dedication ensures that all of your condominium financial and management needs are met.

Holly was born in St. John’s and attended Memorial University, completing her Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Sociology and Psychology. She also obtained a Certificate in Criminology from Memorial University. Holly joined the Krown Property Management team as a Leasing Agent; however her keen interest in social media marketing has also involved her in taking on the role of managing the business on social media accounts. Holly’s strong interpersonal skills and commitment to clients and tenants make her an excellent addition to the Krown Property Management team.
